The programs at the Koinonia Institute are organized around three "tracks", which are concurrent paths of achievement:
- The Berean Track;
- The Issachar Track; and
- The Koinonos Track
The Berean Track focuses on learning the Word of God and is the primary backbone of the institute. The program begins with a strategic overview of the entire Bible, with an emphasis on its integrity of design, its extra-terestrial origin and its inerrancy in the original autographs.
The Issachar course of study is aimed at encouraging an in-depth understanding of God’s plan of redemption and an awareness of the times—and challenges to ministry—we currently face.
The Sons of Issachar understood the times, knew what to do, and did it. In the same way, the serious study of the Word of God should precipitate positive changes in the life of a Christian, based on understanding, discernment, and action.
The Koinonos Track is intended to emphasize being a doer of the Word, not a hearer only. It focuses on discipleship, servanthood, and ambassadorship; strongly encouraging participation in a small study group as one of the most effective means of personal growth. The Koinonos Track includes a broad spectrum of electives that encompass a wide range of callings as the Holy Spirit may direct.
Each track consists of several achievement levels. And, each of these levels is diversified, intended to give students a balanced Biblical diet, to grasp the significance of current events in light of God's plan for this world and to assist them in applying what they have learned to impact this world for Jesus Christ as His plan unfolds.
The three tracks are pursued simultaneously. The student should therefore begin by fulfilling the qualifications for the Bronze Medallion, which is awarded as soon as level one has been completed in all three tracks. The Berean Track begins with a survey of the Bible, using Learn the Bible in 24 Hours. The Issachar Track begins with Death of Discernment, How We Got Our Bible, How to Study the Bible. And the Koinonos Track starts with Discovering God and The Love of God.
The student who is starting out in this spiritual adventure should begin by enrolling in at least one of these courses.
